Seribu Rasa

For lunch today, i decided to take my friend to this Indonesian restaurant that a good friend of mine recommended me to go. The place is located in Menteng and let me tell you it is not easy to find because the address is misleading, so for my advice if you want to dine here then you better call the place first. The name of the restaurant is called Seribu Rasa which literally means is english is "One thousand flavours". Pretty catchy huh? The name is what attracts me to go to this place in the beginning. From what the owner told me the place serves a delectable local dishes and seafood that promotes the culture combination of South East Asian and Indonesian flavors. They use traditional recipes with the freshest ingredients and the Chef's makes it so much better making the taste to be filled with "one thousand flavors" or so what the restaurant believes in. My friends and i ordered the Bulai Head Tasik, Mandaling Beef Curry, Terong Balado,Claypot Tofu and Nasi Lemak (For me). All of them was really good, i mean like if it weren't for the curry that they have in the fish and terong i could have finished all the terong. I am such a big fan of terong(eggplant) cause the taste itself is really sweet and fresh, the spices of the food is what makes it so good! The Bulai head tasik which basically is a fish head was superb! Did you know the best part of the fish is the head, stomach and fin? The head has the juicy and fat which is so soft when you put it in your tongue, to simply put it was scrumptious! Its a must try food! The beef curry was sweet and soft which makes my lunch just perfect. I love the atmosphere and the service too, it was really nice and refreshing. I can say proudly that this is a restaurant worth visiting again!:D
