Tonkatsu

This will be the last food blogging i will do for this summer. I would like to thank everyone who has been reading this quest for my entire summer, it has been fun and worthwhile. Obviously i got fat also, but damn it was worth it. Anyways i had this trip to Singapore and my personal favorite restaurant is this Japanese pork restaurant called Tonkichi. The one that i had was in takashimaya and seriously its so good. basically its a restaurant that serves pork cutlet and its the best one ive tried so far. I had the special menu which is the imported pig that is Kurobuta minced, the meat was so juicy and tender that i order another one, let me tell you it was worth it! The crispy outer layer combined with the juicy meat was simply to die for. The sauce that they used was really good too, the sesame seeds which a nut is smashed by yourself with a soysauce that was sweet and salty, it was fun to make the sauce, i got to say! The shredded cabbage was good also, it was fresh and you can always ask for a refill for free. Anyone who is visiting Singapore should definitely try this resto:). Relocating to Singapore

Going to Singapore for a week, all my food tasting will be located there:D ill show you all the good local foods, y'all see!

Seribu Rasa

For lunch today, i decided to take my friend to this Indonesian restaurant that a good friend of mine recommended me to go. The place is located in Menteng and let me tell you it is not easy to find because the address is misleading, so for my advice if you want to dine here then you better call the place first. The name of the restaurant is called Seribu Rasa which literally means is english is "One thousand flavours". Pretty catchy huh? The name is what attracts me to go to this place in the beginning. From what the owner told me the place serves a delectable local dishes and seafood that promotes the culture combination of South East Asian and Indonesian flavors. They use traditional recipes with the freshest ingredients and the Chef's makes it so much better making the taste to be filled with "one thousand flavors" or so what the restaurant believes in. My friends and i ordered the Bulai Head Tasik, Mandaling Beef Curry, Terong Balado,Claypot Tofu and Nasi Lemak (For me). All of them was really good, i mean like if it weren't for the curry that they have in the fish and terong i could have finished all the terong. I am such a big fan of terong(eggplant) cause the taste itself is really sweet and fresh, the spices of the food is what makes it so good! The Bulai head tasik which basically is a fish head was superb! Did you know the best part of the fish is the head, stomach and fin? The head has the juicy and fat which is so soft when you put it in your tongue, to simply put it was scrumptious! Its a must try food! The beef curry was sweet and soft which makes my lunch just perfect. I love the atmosphere and the service too, it was really nice and refreshing. I can say proudly that this is a restaurant worth visiting again!:D

I cannot believe summer is almost over and i still haven't entirely explore the real city of Jakarta. Damn i'm gonna miss you so much Jakarta. This time i went to a restaurant called Foodism in Fx mall. I will always remember this place as one of my favorite hang out place, i remember spending my rest time here after a hard long community service with some special friends. The restaurant is located at the 7th floor, the decoration is fairly good, they have a buddha statue and some artsy painting that i am quite a fond of. The food that i had was the "nasi goreng kampoeng", basically its a fried rice with Krupuk and satay. The nasi goreng in my opinion was too spicy, i really would prefer if they make it not so spicy, but i still managed to finish it, thank god. It was good though, i know that i cannot tolerate spicy foods but since i can, meaning it was okay i suppose, what i love about fried rice is that they have a combination of egg roll, mushroom, onion, shrimp and meat, the combination was really good in the category of a fried rice so i like it. Overall its a good place if you want to just chill with friends and spend a long long lunch or dinner, the mood was pretty tasteful too:)

Don't make summer stop, you've been really good to me, i owe you for the great memories you have bestowed upon me, thank you is all i can say

Abuba

God i should really stop eating steak all the time but its just one of those personal cravings right? I just love everything about steak starting from cutting it to little pieces so i can chew it easily, the tender and juicy meat that gives anyone a bliss of tingling in your tongue, the fat which is superb, and of course the smell of a medium well done barbecue flavor that makes your stomach growls, everything about steak makes a sanctuary for all food lovers. And whats more is that this place that i went in Cipete Raya called Abuba serves a good quality steak for a very cheap price, its like a take out food but the concept is about steak, I ordered the sirloin one, thats my favorite cause the meat is much softer compared to a tenderloin. For dessert i ordered a Es Podeng, my friend said it was really good, but i guess for me the combination of bread, ice cream, fruits, chocolate and sweets was just too much. Overall it is a nice place and food if you want a cheap steak!
