For my first destination for my personal project this summer i went to this small French restaurant near my house called Boka Buka. The first impression that i got from the restaurant was that it had this home atmosphere, the lightning was dim which was perfect for a candle romantic dinner, Hanafi wallpapers that gives the art world from the country and wine cellar with a bar that gave this French impression and jazzy mood. I choose the onion soup, obviously the escargot because whats is a French food without trying an escargot right? The onion soup was good, as expected, the taste was sour sweet which is particularly my kind of food, the escargot has several options, i had to choose whether or not it was served with mushroom flavor or the classic one, i choose the classic escargot because i am a fan of their combination with garlic. For those of you think that the delicacy of snails are disgusting, you should be more open minded because the snail is a source for rich proteins, trust me just try it once and maybe what you seem to understand before may be wrong and new taste will unravel your breath. of And then for the main course the waiter suggested that i should try their famous grilled steak with this cream cheese sauce called bearnaise that was so good, i mean really the cream was light flavored with no sort of nauseousness and it feels like you can eat it as much as you want, served with fried potatoes that goes so well with the beef that was cooked medium well which if you are a fan of soft tender meat, medium well it is. The meat was juicy and tender and with the combination of the sauce, makes it ever so yummier. My sister had the duck steak and from what she told me it was not as good as the thought it would be, the size of the meat is too little and the taste is just mediocre. For the dessert i wanted to try their specialty but since it was "out of stock" which was very disappointing so i tried their second best which was called Apple Crumble. It was sweet, i love apple pie since the beginning, what can i say those out there? The crepe provides the crusty, crunchy, savory yet sweet flavor that i love and combined with the sweet vanilla ice cream it was a bliss for all dessert lovers out there. Well to sum up, i think this restaurant is ought to try because of its reasonable price with a quite good taste provided. The service was homey feeling, the waiter and waitress explained very well and they seem to know what they are talking about, what is surprisingly cute is the washroom and you guys should check it out for your selves. Boka Buka has two stores now, one across each other, the place that i went was the new one, both are the same just different location right across each other. Well the first experience of my personal project so far is a success, i hope this summer i will get to enjoy scrumptious foods, if you want to know the address just message this blog and i will surely reply back. Pictures will be posted in the next blog. Next stop Chinese food, can't wait!
